It is often said that windows are the eyes of a house. If that is true then this house in Póvoa de Varzim, Portugal designed by Portuguese dIONISO LAB is wearing Lady Gaga-esque sunglasses. It's covered in a façade of aluminium shutters perforated with symbols. The concertinaed metal shutters are featured in front of the full-height windows, creating a balcony area between the two façades and providing privacy. Symbols relevant to the local area which is a fishing town have been perforated on the metal screens. What an individual idea.
Got something you'd like me to look at, consider or review? Or just want my recipe for the ultimate Amaretto Sour? Either way, leave me a comment or send me an email.
