Blinded by the light

I'm just charmed by the Victoria & Albert museum print collection that's currently available on window blinds. I now see that having spent my life viewing window blinds as functional things that keep out light and add a splash of colour to the room was wrong. Art, it would appear, is coming soon to a window near you. There are quite a few companies that appear to be happy to print your own photos onto roller blinds, here are a couple that I quite liked the look of from Creatively Different Blinds. You can print anything from the charming Beatrix Potter illustrations to very modern and stark architectural photography and the blinds can be used for a variety of purposes including hiding under-staircase storage, as is the case with the rather intimidating cat below. I'd rather admire from afar for now - I'm not sure I'm brave enough to try this so I think I'll stick to a handmade Roman blind for the kitchen all the same though - watch this space for a "How to" guide!

  1. Wow all pics are superb. I do this every three months to all my blinds in the house. I have notice that dish-washing liquid is the best to use.
