For years I have made it clear that as soon as I win the lottery and buy my enormous mansion in the country, only furniture from Portuguese designers Boca do Lobo will do for the interiors. So when the lovely people at PortugalBrands got in touch to tell me that there were some new pieces they'd like to give you all a sneak peek of, I did my little happy dance (which attracted some strange glances in the office) and sat down to write immediately. My favourite of the three has to be the chest of drawers. It looks like a beautiful stack of lacquered boxes and the inspiration drawn from Frank Lloyd Wright's Falling Water is obvious. The Melrose Dressing table (inspired by eighteenth century originals) is the newest addition to the long-coveted and drooled-over Soho range and would make an amazing gift to yourself. When I was little, there was never any doubt in my mind that I'd get ready for all of my very adult dinner parties in front of something like this. And the mirror is just fantastically different. Ten mirrors all at once? Sign me up.

Carolina Bernardo: I couldn't agree more! Portuguese design is really out of this world and it's a shame it doesn't get more recognition internationally. That's why I write this blog! Thanks for reading :)
Got something you'd like me to look at, consider or review? Or just want my recipe for the ultimate Amaretto Sour? Either way, leave me a comment or send me an email.
