Old lockers - interesting storage at Selfridges
Spending Saturday afternoon on Oxford Street, one of the busiest high streets in Europe, fighting through a seething mass of over-heated people clutching heavy bags isn't really my idea of fun. On my own, at least. I have discovered that shop staff frown on people taking too many photographs of their stock so having a wingman to provide the illusion of a couple stopped for a quick chat whilst you sneakily point your camera at the display is essential. Happily, my long-suffering boyfriend has an interest in design and so allowed me to drag him around the lower-ground floor of Selfridges where I was overjoyed to find that Pedlars have now opened a concession stand. I've become somewhat obsessed by the idea of finding charming reclaimed furniture to used as storage space and the old sports lockers that they're exhibiting fit the bill perfectly. At £250 each they're not cheap but can you put a price on a piece of sporting history?

I love the idea of using old lockers - reclaimed from schools or sports centres - as modern storage solutions.
