Elegant storage

Hat stands have lately fallen out of fashion but I'm thinking of championing their return. Every modern home should have one. Not only do they provide a useful place to keep umbrellas by the door so that you don't end up, as I often do, scrabbling around on the tops of cupboards and tearing through hundreds of handbags, scattering them in your frantic wake as you try to find an umbrella to take to work on a rainy day, but they lend a very stylish air to a house. An entrance hall is the first thing that your guests will see and a hat rack announces your attention to detail (as well as your fondness for...well, hats). I'm starting my campaign at a grassroots level and aiming at my boyfriend's flat. Are any of these Wodehouse-ish enough?
