Anyone that lives in England will tell you that house prices are something of a national obsession. The old phrase "An Englishman's home is his castle" rings true and constantly moving up that property ladder is something that sits in the back of our minds at all times. British architects Marks Barfield have come up with something that will please those asipring to move up - in the truest sense of the word. They're currently building a house with an entire floor that will, at the simple touch of a button, rise ten storeys into the air. The project boasts green credentials too as (perhaps unbelievably) the engine used to raise the entire section of the building uses the same amount of energy as a small family car. It ever has a small escape pod to be used in case the mechanism sticks in the "up" position. All in all, this has to be the best house for dinner parties ever concieved.
Got something you'd like me to look at, consider or review? Or just want my recipe for the ultimate Amaretto Sour? Either way, leave me a comment or send me an email.
