A trip down memory lane: homewares and food from A Vida Portuguesa

I know I've mentioned A Vida Portuguesa before but I had the opportunity to visit them in person when I was last in Lisbon. I picked up a couple of old-fashioned china swallows and a few old posters salvaged from a factory that closed down. But what really stayed with me was the rough luxe look of the shop and the way that everything in there reminded me of my childhood! The cans of sardines and packages of flour reminded me of my grandmother's pantry and I walked around the toy section emitting high pitched squeals every time I found something I recognised! All it all, it's more than worth a look. The staff could be friendlier but the simple interior of the shop itself more than makes up for them. Forgive the awful photography by the way, I'm still getting to grips with my new camera!
