1. Tell us a bit about yourselves and how you got started? We are a design/make partnership based in Devon, specialising in contemporary furniture and accessories from reclaimed and natural resources.
After 7 years of travelling on & off and wanting to get back to creative roots, we started making furniture, etc, for ourselves from waste materials. When we moved to Devon 2 years later, we decided to start selling our work & our business began.
2. What was the first thing you ever sold?
A little coffee table made from scrap wood - a lot more "rustic" than what we design & make now.
3. What was the hardest thing to part with (that you've sold?)
Our 1st ever stanley coffee table - that was really hard to part with. We wanted to keep it for ourselves - it's still our favourite design. But the couple that bought it sacrificed their yearly holiday money to buy the table instead, so we knew they loved it!
4. What would you most like to make (however unlikely!)
We have lots of designs that we have yet to make - but one thing we'd love to do is design and build our own house ............ one day.
5. If you were in charge of the world for a day, what one change would you make?
There's a million things we would like to change but I guess it would have to be putting a stop to global warming.
6. Any advice for anyone looking to go into business?
For a business like ours - finding & creating your own style, not compromising, totally love what you do, be determined & committed but be patient too.
7. What do you do when you're not working?
Surf, walk, play guitar & write songs, take photographs with old cameras /expired film and Polaroids, garden in our vegetable garden, explore this lovely part of the UK we live in.

thanks Catherine!
