I´m sitting writing this with a view of the Atlantic Ocean spreading out in front of me. *sigh*, I love being home, even if it´s just for a week. I´ve been out and about around Lisbon putting together a lot of material for future posts but today, as it´s 25 degrees and gloriously sunny, I thought I´d write about something unusual. Having a pool is pretty commonplace in Portugal but a new fad is sweeping the nation - namely, biopools. Biopiscinas were the first company to introduce them here. They´re basically man-made lakes that look like they are completely natural, where the water is cleaned with natural products and they´re usually designed to compliment the outside area they sit in by architects. So very different to the square, tiled pools most people have - what could be nicer than diving in past the water-lilies?!
Got something you'd like me to look at, consider or review? Or just want my recipe for the ultimate Amaretto Sour? Either way, leave me a comment or send me an email.
London Lisbonite is a design blog featuring interior design (mainly international but with a strong Portuguese design focus), homewares and DIY projects. It also acts as an electronic pinboard for everything beautiful or useful that I find in my travels, as well as DIY guides.
