One of the herculean tasks still to be done on the house (but I'm looking forward to this one!) is to knock all of the plaster off of the chimney flue in the kitchen and have it shored up so that we can put the cooker in the old fireplace. It currently looks like this: I love exposed brick inside houses - it's such an easy way of drawing attention to original features (in our case, 200-year old bricks).
