Sand painting

I'm not a fan of reality shows. I realise that I risk alienating 99% of readers by saying that but I've really never seen the attraction. However, I'll make an exception for Kseniya Simonova. She's a Ukrainian artist who won Ukraine's version of "Britain's Got Talent." Using a giant lightbox and sand (and considerable artistic skill), she told the story of Germany's invasion and occupation of Ukraine during WWII. I found myself crying silently as I watched her dramatic and hauntingly beautiful interpretation - this exposition of real talent puts all of those navel-gazing, untalented fame junkies on British reality shows into perspective.
