I'm not what you'd call a dedicated follower of fashion. In fact, I'll come clean and say that my dress sense is not only close to non-existent but also firmly rooted in 2001. Working in Farringdon (land of the Hoxton trendy agency bods sporting drainpipe jeans, cardigans and enormous plug necklaces), this puts me at a serious disadvantage. The nicest things that I own have all been bought for me by friends who take pity on the fact that I never seem to own the latest must-have items and are gently exasperated at my habit of buying anything that suits me (read A-line skirts and V-necked tops) in every colour available (usually black). However, I quite fancy one of these colour-in dresses (£250) from Michiel Schuurman (via, of all places, the Daily Mail). Behold - I will be seen in colour! I wonder if I could use glitter pens on it? (Can you hear my friends sigh pityingly from where you are?!)

walk away my love, walk away...
