Restoring a town house
London Lisbonite was originally set up as a design blog with an underlying purpose - to track the complete restoration of an East London townhouse. I can finally provide the "before" photos after having spent the whole weekend pulling nails out of the master bedroom floor so that it can be sanded and varnished. Happiness is backbreaking labour. Some of the photos are a little dark - we don't have luxuries like electric lighting in every room yet. It's a work-intensive project but we're so lucky to have a house we can do up from scratch and it'll be exactly as we want it once we're finished. We should be in there by March - watch this space for improvements!
